Once again the brave men of the House of Geek have strode forward seeking to be worthy of inclusion into the lofty ranks of the Rapha Gentlemen’s ride. Armed only with scratch and sniff donut stickers, and our panache, we submit ourselves to their approval process. We hope they like us!

When last we left our brave fabricators, they had cut and filed a very precise hole into the tube, and delicately bent a length of brass tube to fit perfectly with the steel braze on cap. Here is what happens next.

Much like the humble chain stay, the seat stay doesn’t get the kind of love it deserves. We think they are kind of pretty, especially these nice s-bend ones. See more things being made here.

A lot of people had nice things to say about the pictures of our braze on logos, and a lot of people wanted to know how they were done. We make Marty dress up like an evil villain, give him a very hot torch, and stay out of his way. Spoiler alert: Marty is Luke’s father!

People don’t think a lot about chain stays, but they need love like anyone else. Here are some brand new chain stays being born in the shop today.

Behold the magic of the internal cable route! Take one meticulously hand shaped brass tube, stir in a bit of carefully cut steel, and sprinkle with a dash of custom braze-on, and you create a lovely little internal route for your favorite brake, or shifter cable. More pics when these are done.

We have been busy as bees! So many small touches that go into making every Geekhouse. Plus if the boys work hard we give them candy.

In what ended up combining the skills of just about everyone in the shop, Geekhouse and Royal H teamed up to build this retro-fantastic fork. Note the segmented goodness, and the old school Raleigh ‘side dimples’ (that’s a technical term). Marty built the fork, Brian from Royal H Cycles brazed in the drop outs, and the side dimples (with a little help from Shane), and Brad kept us all in line. More pics here.
