Everybody Bikes! - SF

Just as 2010 came to a close we picked up a new distributor on the ‘best-coast’ called Everybody Bikes. They’ve got two Geekhouses coming their way due just before Summer. Owned and operated by a pair of New England transplants, Everybody Bikes took over a space (1352 Irving Street. in Inner Sunset) formerly home to a popular mountain bike shop. They are a new shop and they bring a great attitude on cycling, not just for racers, mountain bikers, or commuters; for everyone!

While we’ve been swamped gearing up for Spring, a ton of events, MTB season, and more. I’ve had a blast keeping up with the Everybody Bikes blog and recognize it as the only bike website I know with bigger images than our own (jealous). They had a ton of great shots of their grand opening party courtesy of Warholian (who doesn’t love a bike shop party?) and have been updating regularly- fueling my Short Circuit Johnny 5-like need for ‘input’.

We’re playing around with ideas and opportunities to escape New England for a long weekend in SF sometime this Fall, it will be tough in the midst of the Philly Show, Oregon Manifest, and Geekhouse CX season but after visiting last (Indian) Summer I’m dying to go back to the land where legal graffiti outnumbers billboards 90:1. Not to mention, Everybody Bikes is home to a rotating gallery a la Open in it’s hey-day. Currently, they are displaying a show by artist Nathan Richards who has some really beautiful line-work online, I like this one:

The gang have done bang up job of opening themselves up to the public and we hope for nothing but the best for them. Who can say ‘No’ to a philosophy like this? “We are your neighborhood bike shop. No frills. No attitude. Just a love for the road, the trail, the track, a set of wheels, and the dream that Everybody Bikes.” Check ‘em out!
