Since a couple friends (Ryan White, and Mr Robot) couldn’t make this year’s D2R2, this past weekend Ray Cloutier from our CX team, as well as Team Awesome put on a little ride called D2me2. The route was 82 miles on and off road, through New Hampshire’s scenic farm lands and rolling hills. We did about 7500 feet of elevation and the temperature went well into the 90′s. I snapped off a few shots on my point and shoot. Enjoy!
When we showed up most of the guys were riding road bikes with 25c-28c tires, and most of the Geek crew were on their CX bikes. I however was rocking my Woodville with riser bars and the Alfine 11-speed. My bike was great off road, but not so great on straight road climbing..
About 25 miles in Matt Li’s tire completely blew up, so Joshua Robot volunteered to take him back. Robot and I were doing a little rock, paper, scissor action before he graciously let me finish the ride. What a great guy!
At one point we road by a Trebuchet yard, called Yankee Siege. Pretty cool stuff!
Josh from Arc en Ciel, doing a little man over machine action.
The crew at the end of the day, lookin a little tattered.
A little proof that I actually was there! Wow, what a great ride, can’t wait til next year. For more pics check out flickr. See you at D2R2!
